Searching, tracking and sniffer dog workshops 2008

During the workshop various aspects of searching for humans and tracking will be covered. The workshop offers experienced and inexperienced handlers new ways to teach their dogs searching and tracking. During the workshop the natural ability of the dog to search will be emphasised, without any form of force.

• Basic tracking and/or searching;
• Finding a track;
• Reading the dog during searching and tracking;
• Different types of alerts;
• Search techniques and how to setup a sector search;
• Map and compass (GPS).

With more than 20 years of experience in training search dogs and search dog teams, has enabled Ann-Jo to develop a method that emphasises the natural ability of the dog to search, and ensures that the dogs will search with eagerness and duration. Not only is our method aimed at the dog, but Ann-Jo also looks at the owner to ensure that there is interaction between owner and dog.
